Roll Racing is the latest form of car event to hit Australia, catering for the recreational motorsport customer who likes to drive their car fast and have fun in a safe and controlled environment without the fear of being prosecuted for illegal activities on the street. Events are run in time frames that suit the modern lifestyle, 4 to 6 hour events with a focus on entertainment and a bang for buck experience.
The concept is that you race another vehicle from a rolling start of around 40klms/hr. Once the lights turn from amber to green you race along the straight to the finish line to see who has the quickest car. Then you can return to the marshalling area and race someone else and keep going all night.
The secret to Roll Racing is not to have the most Horsepower, biggest tyre or fattest wallet (although all those things help). It’s to have a well set up car that can get the power to the ground and use it correctly. At our events around the country, some of the quickest cars there have been 400hp Corolla’s, 500hp Rotories and Nissan GTRs which were all extremely well set up street cars that they drive to Roll Racing and drive home, true street cars! Roll Racing is open to all types of vehicles from domestics, imports and exotic cars all battling it out under lights to see who really has a fast car.
